In may 2020, a flood occurred in the Maktaaral district of the Turkestan region, as a result of which residents of flooded villages were forced to evacuate. In order to eliminate the consequences of an emergency of a man – made nature, the Corporate social development Fund «Turkistan» (hereinafter-the Fund) under JSC «SEC «Turkestan» was launched to collect charitable and sponsorship assistance.

As a result of the work carried out, a new microdistrict was built in the village of Myrzakent in a few months. Funds for the construction were allocated from the state budget, as well as from transfers from benefactors. Houses in the new neighborhood have already been transferred to their new residents.

In the villages Firdousi and Orgebas also complete the construction of their own houses. So, as of 04.12.2020, the residents of the villages completed the construction of more than 470 houses, and roofing works were started in about 30 more houses. Recall that the villagers build their own houses on compensation paid by the Fund in the amount of 17 million tenge. These funds are paid in three tranches and, to date, more than half of the villagers have received the final tranche.
