The main factors of investment attractiveness of the Turkestan region are the natural and climatic conditions of the region, which create favorable conditions for the development of the agro-industrial complex of the region. Thus, JSC "SEC "Turkestan" (hereinafter – SEC) implements projects in the field of agriculture, implemented as part of the formation of a food belt around the city of Turkestan. One of the key projects is the "Creation of an agricultural enterprise for growing forage crops using sprinkler irrigation systems on an area of more than 1.0 thousand hectares". According to the project implementation plan, land plots of 100 farms were combined and agreements on joint activities were concluded. On the territory of the project, 18 sprinkler irrigation machines of the American company "T-L" were installed and a machine and tractor station with 26 units of agricultural machinery was created. Also, a dairy farm for 1.2 thousand head of cattle is being built using Italian technology. Water enters the territory of cultivated areas through the Arys-Turkestan canal.

Also, the SEC is implementing a project to "Expand the use of sprinkler irrigation systems on an area of 710 hectares". Provision of land plots is provided by combining 67 farms, on the territory of which it is planned to cultivate forage crops, in particular: winter wheat, corn and alfalfa. As part of the project, it is planned to install 8 units of sprinklers from Bauer (Austria).

The main goal of this project is to ensure uninterrupted supply of feed for the Ordabasy Kus poultry farm, which is currently one of the anchor projects of the Turkestan region.
