To date, the work on planting seedlings on an area of 400 hectares has been completed. The plum orchard, located along the road to the new airport of the regional center, is part of the food belt in the city of Turkestan.

Since the end of last year, SEC "Turkestan" has started work on the implementation of an investment project for the construction and organization of a demonstration site in the field of horticulture on an area of 400 hectares. It is known that these gardens will grow plums of valuable, fruitful and large varieties. These varieties are resistant to the climate of Turkestan, are in demand on the market and have a high export potential. It is planned that the plum orchard will show the first results within 3-5 years, and when the full fruiting period is reached, the yield of the garden will reach up to 20 tons of plums per hectare.

To date, work on drilling wells and planting more than 200 thousand seedlings has been completed. The garden is equipped with an Israeli drip irrigation system, equipped with pumping stations with wells and water storage tanks.

In general, the implementation of the project to create a plum garden will meet the demand of consumers, and the service life of gardens of this type is from 25 years and above. In the future, the project will be equipped with a modern fruit storage facility with a capacity of 10 thousand tons, its own sorting line with a capacity of 8 tons / hour, and the production of direct-pressed juices from the obtained fruits will be organized.
