President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted the need to provide the population of Kazakhstan with essential medicines. In accordance with the instructions of the Head of state, the Governor's office of the Turkestan region has designated JSC "SEC "Turkestan" as a specialized organization that implements mechanisms for creating a stabilization Fund of medicines and medical devices in the region (hereinafter – MMD).

The work of the stabilization Fund will be aimed at curbing prices for in-demand medicines and constantly supplying pharmacies with frequently requested medicines used during the epidemiological season for the treatment and prevention of viral and colds, including pneumonia and coronavirus infection. For these purposes, 317 million tenge was allocated from the local budget.

It should be noted that medical products will be stored in the warehouses of the stable Fund and used in times of shortage of medicines in retail chains of the region. On the recommendation of the public health Department of the Turkestan region, medicines will be delivered by the Operator to district pharmacies according to a certain list, which includes 54 pharmacies in the region.
