In the secondary school No. 125 of the city of Shymkent, a pilot project “Safe School” was launched, which, together with partners, implements JSC “NC“ SEC “Shymkent”. The school has tested a modern access control and management system (ACS), which is supplemented by a video surveillance system, which makes it possible to control the time of entry and exit of students and staff, and also prevents outsiders from entering the territory of the educational institution.

At the entrances and exits, turnstiles and video cameras were installed that recognize the faces of students. A database of students and staff has been created. Each student received an individual electronic pass card. In the future, with the help of this card, students will be able to pay for lunch in the dining room and travel in public transport.

The most important function of ACS is to record student attendance. Moreover, not only the school administration, but also the parents are interested in this data. They can view statistics, for example, on the school’s website, or they can be notifications sent via SMS.

Until September 1, 2018, it is planned to introduce an access control control system in all schools in the city of Shymkent.
