Akimat of Turkestan region together with JSC “NC“ SEC “Shymkent” by the beginning of the school year connected 20 rural schools of the Tulkubassky district to the Internet. Previously, rural teachers had difficulty finding teaching materials from various sources. Now, thanks to access to the information network, teachers and students can find and use educational content from the Internet at any time.

For installation of satellite equipment, ASTEL was selected. ASTEL provides satellite telecommunications services especially in remote, inaccessible mountainous areas - where it is impossible to use traditional communication services. Schools have satellite dishes and Internet access. According to the requirements of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the data transfer rate is at least 4 Mbit / s. A 24-hour support service monitors the status of the network and quickly resolves problems.

Within the framework of the state program “Digital Kazakhstan”, the akimat of the Turkestan region plans to provide schools and schools with access to the Internet and SMART technologies in all regions of the region until December 2018.
