The new plant will produce multifunctional LED lights, which have no analogues in Kazakhstan.
The production site will be located on 5 hectares in the industrial zone "Turkistan", located in the city of Turkestan. The total amount of attracted investment is 200 million US dollars. 700 new jobs will appear, and when the production runs at full capacity, 4,000 people can work at the plant.
According to the project, the plant will produce 100 thousand light bulbs per year. As the investors themselves say, these are not simple bulbs, but specifically designed for “smart” lights with 14 different functions. The 3 main features of the lamps are WiFi support, lightning protection device and dimming (control of light intensity) with the possibility of centralized remote control from a computer or from a cell phone. Also, there are video surveillance functions, a voice sensor, a radar, an alarm, a car and a cell phone charge, and other "tricks". The production of green technologies will be carried out by the Sourcenergy company, whose management previously together with TURKISTAN INVEST examined the streets and squares of Turkestan in order to consider the possibility of replacing conventional lights with more multi-functional and smart ones. Currently, a capsule has been laid at the construction site of the new plant with the participation of the akim of the Turkestan region Zh. Tuimebayev and the management of Sourcenergy. The project will be fully supported by TURKISTAN INVEST, a branch of Turkestan SEC JSC. It should be noted that the products of this project will be used as part of the construction of the “smart” city of Turkestan. It is planned to sell the product on the domestic market of Kazakhstan and export to the CIS countries.
