On July 17, in Nur-Sultan, a technical meeting was held on the implementation of the project of JSC “SEC“ Turkestan ”-“ Construction and operation of the international airport of Turkestan ”with the participation of the first leaders of GU“ Frontier Service of the Republic of Kazakhstan ”, GU“ KGD ”“ Customs control of the Republic of Kazakhstan ” , RSU "Main Directorate for Safety Supervision of Flight of State Aviation of the Republic of Kazakhstan" of the Ministry of Defense of the Committee of Civil Aviation, GU "Department of Passenger Transport and Highways of the Turkestan Region", "Department of Architecture and Urban Planning of the Turkestan Region", RSE "Kazaeronavigation", JSC "International Astana airport, AerAnT LLP, Turkestan SEC JSC, Ida Inshaat Sanayi ve Tijaret Anonymous Shirketi JSC, Asia Service LLP.

Within the framework of the meeting, issues were discussed to consider the master plan of the international airport of Turkestan. In particular, proposals were voiced to improve the use of customs clearance and passport control using modern technologies, as well as the use of air navigation equipment. The master plan and technological layouts of the terminal of the international airport were presented. At the end of the meeting, experts from various services provided recommendations on equipping the airport.

At the moment, sketches of the future airport are being prepared, which will be further submitted to the city planning council for approval.
