In Turkestan region, a meeting of the Commission on the management of the regional stabilization fund of food products was held. The meeting participants discussed the issues of stabilization and approval of fixed prices for socially significant food products (hereinafter - NWTC), as well as stabilization of prices for chicken eggs of the first category.

According to the decree of the akimat of the Turkestan region “On the approval of the Rules for the implementation of stabilization mechanisms for prices of socially important food products in the Turkestan region”, fixed sales prices and marginal trade margins on NWTC sold by a specialized organization are formed taking into account price retention of 10% or more below threshold retail values prices for socially significant food products in the Turkestan region.

According to the managing director of the Food Stabilization Fund, Marasilov Maral, since the beginning of 2019, 8 trading pavilions (social shops) have been opened in Turkestan, and today their total number has been brought to 14. According to the Rules on the provision of property for trade pavilions and the definition of commission agents, among Entrepreneurs held a competition for the implementation of activities for the sale of goods. In addition, together with the akimat of the city of Turkestan, the Department of Agriculture of the Turkestan region and 10 business entities, agreements were concluded on joint activities to stabilize prices on NWTC in the regional center.

Within the framework of this agreement, a set of joint measures is planned to contain and prevent the rise in prices for socially significant food products. In particular, business entities in supermarkets prepared separate display cases for goods; today, according to the concluded agreements, goods are delivered on a regular basis to 5 supermarkets, namely Shapagat, Baiterek, Bereke, Daulet and Dastarkhan ". In the near future, an increase in supermarkets with display cases of stabilization fund goods.

In total, as part of the commodity intervention in 2019, 1,306.2 tons of goods were sold for a total of 140.7 million tenge (potatoes - 121.4 tons, onions - 425.1 tons, carrots - 64.2 tons, cabbage - 28.4 tons, 1 grade flour - 217.2 tons, buckwheat - 11.8 tons, sugar - 348.3 tons, rice - 50.3 tons, sunflower oil - 24.0 tons , pasta - 20.2 tons).

Moreover, since October 30, 2019, together with the bakery of Akzhol LLP, the implementation of social bread for the price of 75 tenge has been established in 6 supermarkets and shopping pavilions (social shops) of the city of Turkestan. Since November 21, social bread is also being sold in 8 stores in Kentau.

As part of the implementation of the “Revolving Scheme” project in the Turkestan region, a loan is provided to businesses, with a interest rate of 0.01% per annum, from funds placed on deposit of Turkestan SEC JSC. When granting a loan, price stabilization will be achieved by keeping prices on NWFP at 10% or more below the threshold retail prices on NWFP, approved by the akimat of Turkestan region.

By a decision of the commission on managing the regional Food Stabilization Fund of the Turkestan Region dated December 20, 2019, a decision was made to provide a loan to Kazhayyp-P LLP (bakery) in the amount of 20 million tenge for the production of bread (bread) from first-grade flour.

It is worth noting that, in general, these measures made it possible to prevent the growth of prices for socially important food products and rise from 17th place to 5. Today, Turkestan has one of the lowest prices for socially significant food products in the country.
