The project of an automated bicycle rental system “TurkistanBike”, initiated by JSC “SEC“ Turkestan ”and the Corporate Social Development Fund“ Turkestan ”at JSC“ SEC “Turkestan”, began its work in Turkestan.
As part of the test launch of the project, the Velocity.kz Public Fund established 5 round-the-clock bicycle stations in the city, with a common bicycle park for 40 bicycles, and launched a sales center. Given the social significance of the project, special tariff plans have been developed for the city, thanks to which the system will be available to all residents of the city. At each station, information is posted on the addresses of the locations of cycle stations and tariffs for use.
It is possible to use the services of the “Turkistan Bike” bicycle rental system after registering at the sales office, carried out upon provision of an identity card. The cost of a monthly subscription is 500 tenge, the minimum balance on the account is 500 tenge.
During the subscription period, the user can make any number of trips with a duration of not more than 30 minutes each without additional expenses. That is, if a subscriber takes a bicycle at one rental station, then it is necessary to transfer it to another station before the expiration of 30 minutes. If the specified time is exceeded, time-based rental payment is included:
1 hour - 100 tenge, from 2 hours - 250 tenge, 3 hours - 500 tenge, then every next hour - 1000 tenge.
Guests of the city or citizens who do not have the opportunity to visit the sales office have the option of using SMS access.

The Public Fund "Velocity.kz" is the main operator of automated bike rental systems in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The main activity of PF is the implementation and maintenance of the automated bike rental system Astanabike (Nur-Sultan city), Almatybike (Almaty city), Shymkentbike (Shymkent city).
As part of a pilot project in 2014, 40 bike stations with a bike park for 200 bicycles were launched on the central left bank of the city of Nur Sultan. In 2015, the Public Fund organized the expansion of the territory of cycle stations in the city of Nur Sultan and an additional 110 stations and 800 bicycles were installed. In 2017, within the framework of EXPO 2017, an additional 30 stations were established with a bicycle park for 280 bicycles.
According to the Almatybike project, 181 bicycle stations with a bicycle park for 1700 bicycles are functioning in the territory of Almaty; in Shymkent, 40 bicycle stations with a bicycle park for 200 bicycles are functioning under the Shymkentbike project.
In November of the current year, as part of a pilot project in the city of Turkestan, 5 bicycle stations were launched with a bicycle park for 40 bicycles.
